Diagnose before you fix
Play your video full screen and look at it honestly. What bothers you most? The answer points at one of four causes, and each has a different remedy. Spending money on a tool that fixes the wrong problem is the most common way to be disappointed.
- Blocks and mosaic patches, especially in dark or flat areas: a bitrate problem, so deblocking and AI restoration help. See pixelated video.
- Soft and smudgy everywhere: resolution or focus. AI upscaling helps with the first, not much with the second.
- Speckled grain: noise from low light. Denoising helps a lot. See reduce video noise.
- Dull, washed or jittery colours: a grading problem. A colour correction in an editor does more than any enhancer.
What our tool is good at
We specialise in the first two: compression damage and low resolution. That covers the huge majority of "my video looks bad" complaints: files that were squeezed by a messaging app, exported at too low a bitrate, recorded in a poor webcam, or simply shot a long time ago at 480p.
We combine a cleanup pass (deblock, denoise) with AI restoration that redraws detail, and we output up to 1080p. If your clip is short enough for AI (up to two minutes) you get the full effect; up to ten minutes you get cleanup only.
Symptom to remedy
| What you see | Likely cause | Best fix |
|---|---|---|
| Blocks, mosaic | Low bitrate | Deblock plus AI restoration |
| Soft, small picture | Low resolution | AI upscale to 1080p |
| Grain, speckle | Low light noise | Denoise |
| Smeared motion | Slow shutter | Limited, preview first |
| Dull colour | Grading | Colour correct in an editor |
What no tool can fix
Be sceptical of anyone who says they can fix everything. A clip that is severely out of focus cannot be restored to real sharpness. A face that fills ten pixels cannot be recognised, only guessed. Blown-out highlights, where the sensor saturated to white, hold no recoverable colour. Missing or corrupted frames need a different kind of repair.
This is why we show you a real result before charging. The preview uses your footage, with the same model as the paid version, so you can see for yourself where it falls on the scale from "great" to "no help".
Look at the preview at full screen, not in the thumbnail. Pause on a face or a line of text. If those are better, the rest of the video will be too.
A quick triage you can do in a minute
Pause the video on a frame with a face or text. Zoom your player to 200 percent. If you see squares, it is compression. If you see a soft, smooth smear, it is resolution or focus. If you see coloured speckle, it is noise. Now play a second of motion: if movement leaves ghostly trails, it is a shutter or compression issue.
This takes no tools, and it tells you what to expect before you upload anything.
Prevent it next time
If you can still shoot or export again, a few settings avoid most low-quality problems. Record at the highest resolution your device supports, and use plenty of light. When exporting from an editor, use a bitrate that matches the resolution (about 8 to 12 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps is a sensible baseline). Our article on what bitrate to use for 1080p goes deeper. When sharing, send the original file or a link instead of a messaging-app copy.
Why preview first matters
Every quality fixer works on a spectrum. Some clips become dramatically better, others only a little. Paying before you know which kind you have is a gamble, which is why we put the preview first and keep it free. If your result is disappointing, you have lost a minute, not ten dollars.

Why does my video look worse on my computer than my phone?
A bigger screen shows every flaw that a small screen hides. Upscaling to a clean 1080p helps.
Can you fix a video that is only low quality in one part?
The tool processes the whole clip. If one scene is bad, you can trim it first.
What formats do you accept?
MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV, 3GP and most phone and camera formats.
Do I need to create an account?
